What You'll Do as a Sr Associate Engineer, IT Data
This role involves a dynamic set of responsibilities, including:
- Work closely with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement, and support analytics solutions that provide insights for better decision-making.
- Implement data migration and data engineering solutions utilizing a range of Azure products and services, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure Databricks, alongside traditional data warehouse tools.
- Perform multiple aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, cloud engineering (Infrastructure, network, security, and administration), ingestion, preparation, data modeling, testing, CICD pipelines, performance tuning, deployments, consumption, BI, alerting, and production support.
- Develop technical solutions both collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Be an integral part of a DevOps team that completely owns and supports its product.
- Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and privacy and security guidelines.
- Contribute to a multi-functional team with diverse technical and domain skills.
Minimum Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- 1+ years of experience building data solutions, utilizing agile and DevOps practices.
- 1+ years of data analytics experience using SQL.
- 1+ years of experience with Cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will also possess:
- 2+ years of software solution development experience using agile, DevOps, and a product model, including designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
- 2+ years of data analytics experience using SQL.
- 2+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably in Azure.
- 1+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (preferably Microsoft Azure), including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, ADX, ASA, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Power BI.
- 1+ years of Teradata Vantage development and administration.
- Airline Industry Experience.
Skills, Licenses, And Certifications
- Expertise with a Cloud-based technology stack for data management, ingestion, curation, and consumption layers.
- Azure Databricks Certifications (preferred).
