Overview

Amentum is seeking a Submarine Fire Control Technician in Norfolk, VA. The role involves hands-on fault isolation, repair, and support for submarine combat control systems.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform onboard Functional Test Analysis (FTA) for system checkout, fault isolation and repair.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support for maintenance efforts.
  • Respond to fleet requests and guide troubleshooting via telephone and technical documents.
  • Create and review TAVR messages and update databases (FTS, TAR) as needed.
  • Calibrate government combat test equipment and support IA posture transitions.
  • Assist in legacy equipment support and ECI installation on submarines.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have specialized experience of 6 years in submarine engineering operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting with SWFTS and weapons handling equipment. Additionally, 8 years of technical experience in electronics design, installation, testing, or repair is required. Active Secret US Government Clearance and US Citizenship are mandatory.
