Function of Position

The North America Environment Growth and Strategy Director develops and executes a strategy for growth in the US Environment market to achieve key business objectives. This role develops, maintains, and advances client relationships through targeted sales strategies and client contracts.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering sales/business plans within the sector.
  • Selling all of Amentum's capabilities, beyond just partnered Operating Unit services.
  • Partnering with the Vice President of Operations for Environment to meet growth targets.
  • Conducting research and analysis to ensure a continuous pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Assessing competition and potential markets through detailed growth analysis.
  • Leading outside sales with proposal strategy, preparation, and implementation.
  • Ensuring compliance with company sales processes and CRM data maintenance.
  • Developing and approving value propositions to enhance competitive positioning.
  • Contributing to regional and global business development strategies.
  • Evaluating key personnel for contract bids and establishing new client relationships.
  • Fostering positive client relationships.
  • Recommending strategic hires, mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures when appropriate.
  • Providing leadership support to other Business Development Directors.

Requirements

Education and Experience: Undergraduate Degree plus 10+ years of related experience, with additional education substitutable for experience.

Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated supervisory leadership.

Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).

Other: Flexibility for after hours, weekend work, and travel as needed.
