The Role of a Staff Silicon Design Engineer
As a member of the NBIO team, you will contribute to realizing advanced designs on emulation platforms. You will collaborate closely with architecture, IP design, design verification, post-silicon, and firmware teams to ensure successful first-pass silicon delivery.
Who You Are
A successful candidate for the Staff Silicon Design Engineer role collaborates with senior designers, mentors juniors, and demonstrates accuracy, attention to detail, independence, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable emulation test benches, develop build flows, and create tools to enhance project execution efficiency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of emulation methodologies.
- Demonstrate experience implementing synthesizable models in SystemVerilog.
- Define comprehensive emulation test plans and oversee their execution, including both functional and performance testing.
- Lead debug activities in collaboration with designers and verification engineers.
- Support and empower the emulation team in executing defined test plans.
- Collaborate closely with IP design and verification teams on test planning and task execution.
- Conduct verification of cutting-edge features and protocols.
- Integrate and bring up third-party accelerated verification IPs.
Preferred Experience
- System and subsystem design experience
- FPGA flows, synthesis, PnR expertise
- RTL design, verification, embedded firmware skills
- Proficient in C/C++, SystemVerilog
- Verilog/SystemVerilog design background
- Strong debugging/problem-solving abilities
- Skilled with waveform analyzers
- Emulation/prototyping experience
Academic Credentials
- PhD, BSc or MSc in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering
