The Role
As one of the IP design team members, you will own IP level design work, including architecture definition (partly own or join), specification documentation, RTL coding, RTL delivery, and signoff. The target IP is used for all AMD mainstream products, requiring reusability and scalability to be considered in architecture definition and RTL maintenance, as well as compliance with system application and software/firmware/hardware cooperation. You will need to co-work closely with other teams, including communication with AMD global SoC architects and IP architects, working closely with the verification team, tracing and supporting backend work, and providing silicon validation support. The IP team offers flexible work assignments, respecting individual interest and aiming to achieve win-win outcomes. We encourage and help individuals to discuss with global senior architects and engineers for various topics and work together to resolve problems, with the goal of improving both the team’s and individuals’ IP design capability and competitiveness.
The Person
- Strong experience in ASIC/SoC design
- Strong hands-on Verilog development experience, familiar with scripting languages like Perl
- Good experience on complicated hub, control IP design
- Strong problem solving, independent thinking, teamwork, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Own part of IP feature design with cooperation with other designers
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge on AXI, PCIe is a big plus.
- Better to have knowledge on x86 system view, embedded hardware design with hardware/software/firmware co-operation experience.
Academic Credentials
