The Role
Do you want to drive end-to-end delivery of artificial intelligence, math, computer vision, and communication libraries that power high-performance computing and AI applications? Join AMD as a Program Manager AI Software Development, responsible for guiding AI open-source SDK projects in a dynamic environment.
The Person
You thrive in a geographically distributed, agile environment. Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized with a technical background, you are comfortable engaging with developers, executives, and strategic customers alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Developers, Product Managers, and Program Managers to plan and execute AI open-source SDK projects.
- Act as a primary point of contact for strategic customers, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement through customer feedback and process enhancements.
- Prepare executive-level updates and customer-facing presentations.
- Develop and refine project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation processes.
- Coordinate operational processes with global engineering teams for budget and resource alignment.
- Create documentation, training materials, dashboards, and reports to improve program visibility.
- Enhance forecasting and reporting with automation and data analysis.
- Provide general operational support for the team.
Preferred Experience
Experience in managing complex software projects using agile and waterfall methodologies is required. Candidates should possess strong data analysis, reporting, presentation, and communication skills. Familiarity with agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, Jira and Confluence, and knowledge of software development practices such as CI/CD, testing, version control (Git, GitHub) are essential. Domain knowledge in high-performance computing, AI, and GPU software development is a plus.
