The Role

AMD is seeking an accomplished DevOps Engineer to power our distributed ML and rendering infrastructure. As a remote team member based in Poland, you will enable global collaboration for next-generation AI and rendering workloads by delivering secure, automated, and resilient DevOps solutions connecting our North American data center and European teams.

The Person

The ideal candidate has an automation mindset, deep expertise in on-premises infrastructure, and experience working with both customer and high-end server grade hardware. You thrive in distributed teams, communicate clearly, and consistently drive operational excellence and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML and rendering workflows.
  • Automate and monitor provisioning, scaling, and maintenance of servers and workstations.
  • Set up secure, high-bandwidth data workflows between North America and Europe.
  • Streamline data pipelines between diverse teams.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and drive root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions.
  • Integrate security best practices across the deployment stack.
  • Develop infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and guides.
  • Stay updated on new DevOps tools and optimization techniques.

Preferred Experience

  • Strong background in Linux and Windows systems engineering.
  • Expertise in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation.
  • Experience with enterprise render farms, NAS, and ML pipelines.
  • Proficient with tools like Ansible, Packer, CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and machine learning frameworks.
  • Ability to work in a remote, globally distributed team.
  • Excellent note taking, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Nice to have: experience with validation frameworks, particularly in graphics.
