Overview
Are you interested in shaping the future of entertainment? As a Technology Operations Engineer at Amazon, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for Prime Video customers.
Role Description
You will support Amazon Studios global productions by providing first and second tier technical support, performing systems administration, troubleshooting, issue prioritization, and root cause analysis across diverse hardware and software environments. You will work closely with production personnel, software developers, executives, vendors, and other support teams in a fast-paced, challenging setting.
A Day in the Life
In this role, you will drive the execution and improvement of key service delivery processes, support network and technology systems, and partner with various cross-functional teams. The work includes systems administration, hardware and software support and collaborating with production teams from cast and crew to studio executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support network, technology, software and devices across global productions.
- Perform systems administration, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with production personnel and studio executives.
- Provide exceptional first and second tier technical support.
- Automate operational burdens through scripting and process improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years in SRE, systems engineering, or network administration.
- 5+ years of Linux and systems engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience with Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, or Shell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.
- Experience in a 24/7 production environment.
- Background in service-oriented architecture and web services.
