About the Role
Amazon is seeking a Sr Software Dev Engineer, Customer Behavior Analytics to lead the technical strategy for the Agentic Targeting and Traffic Insights team.
This pivotal group is dedicated to building and operating Amazon’s cutting-edge customer behavior analytics and targeting systems. Your charter will be to invent and scale agentic analytics and targeting, driving the widespread diffusion of AI across our extensive product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
As a Sr Software Dev Engineer, Customer Behavior Analytics, you will be instrumental in building systems at scale, prioritizing a high bar for end-customer experience, safety, security, and data integrity. Your role will involve ensuring the safety of agentic actions and establishing robust correctness and accuracy measurements and guardrails.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in development in the last 3 years
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
