Role Overview

This role in Kuiper Production Operations focuses on manufacturing systems engineering. The candidate will deliver software and frameworks to improve the speed and quality of satellite component testing by partnering with engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with factory planners, technicians, and satellite teams.
  • Design flexible, reliable, and high performance solutions.
  • Integrate software interfacing with test chambers and satellite components.
  • Utilize AWS services including Lambda, IAM, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IoT.
  • Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

About the Manufacturing Systems Engineering Team

The team builds standardized, automated, and scalable manufacturing systems. It transforms engineering inputs into production-ready solutions in automated testing, calibration, shop floor management, and optimized test station design.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of professional software development experience; 2+ years in system design or architecture; proficiency in at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years full SDLC experience; Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
