Overview

As a Software Development Engineer in the Communications and Corporate Responsibility (CCR) Ops & Tech organization at Amazon, you will work in a collaborative team environment delivering data-driven solutions and analytics capabilities. This role is part of a two-pizza team that builds and maintains web applications supporting editorial workflows and content delivery on a global scale.

A Day in the Life

You will build tools that are the backbone for Amazon's global communications efforts. Your work includes developing new products, reviewing peer design and code, and engaging with leadership (Directors, VPs, and S-Team) for feedback and strategic inputs.

About the Team

The team, established in 2022, is data-focused within a largely non-technical organization. You will work with modern data architectures, maintain data pipelines, and build analytics platforms that enable internal customers to derive insights from Amazon's communications data worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytics platforms.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide strategic technical inputs.
• Engage with leadership to shape product direction.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of systems.
• Experience with at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
