Senior Compliance and Monitoring Manager, Transportation Risk

The US Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) Program has built world-class Middle Mile operations, relying on an exceptional pool of carriers. TRC is searching for a high-judgment individual to join us as a Senior Compliance and Monitoring Manager, Transportation Risk for Middle Mile AFP US. In this role, you will manage a team of highly-competent Audit & Monitoring (A&M) managers, whose primary responsibility is to audit Middle Mile AFPs' compliance against contractual and legal requirements. You will also define the Americas-wide A&M strategy, influence at a global level, and drive a culture of compliance both internally and externally.
We are seeking an individual with proven people management experience who is passionate about growing and supporting a team of highly-skilled individuals. The successful candidate will possess strong risk management expertise, preferably in transportation, and be adept at defining customized audit strategies across various high-risk topics, such as wages and benefits. You will manage high-complexity escalations, both internal and external, and build robust mechanisms to identify compliance, safety, regulatory, operational, and reputational risks, adaptable to a changing risk environment.
Cross-functional collaboration is key, working with essential support functions like Legal and AFP Operations to propose harmonized and innovative risk-mitigation solutions to AFP and TRC leaders. You will deliver compelling, data-leveraged narratives to enable leaders and partners to make risk-based, informed decisions. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong data-driven mindset, and excellent soft skills to earn the trust of your team members, stakeholders, and partners, both within and outside Amazon. Finally, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent team spirit, autonomy, and the highest level of integrity.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team of A&M managers, supporting their career growth, work prioritization, planning, goal setting, and day-to-day activities.
- Define the audit and monitoring strategy, customized to meet the AFP US Program’s evolving needs.
- Manage and/or coordinate high-complexity escalations, from both internal and external sources, and share findings with senior leadership within and outside the organization.
- Build risk identification mechanisms.
- Work across organizations to identify cross-functional risk mitigation opportunities.
- Provide highest-standards risk and business-review reports to senior management and business partners.
- Meet individual and team goals with the highest standards and diligence.
- Participate in special assignments as necessary.

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of people management experience.
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or completing complex tasks quickly with little guidance and reacting with appropriate urgency.
- 3+ years of risk management experience.
- Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, CISA, CIA or equivalent risk, audit, or compliance credentials.
- Working knowledge of US transport and contractual laws and regulations.
- Escalation management experience.
- Multilingual (e.g., English, Spanish, Portuguese).
