Overview
Project Kuiper is launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide high-speed broadband to underserved communities globally. As a Security Engineer - Semiconductor and Devices Security at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to uncover security issues in chips and low level software that power satellite broadband telecom service.
The Role
The Security team is crucial to identifying security vulnerabilities by reviewing design and code, and performing tests. You will guide secure hardware architecture for chips used in Project Kuiper through threat modeling, code reviews, security testing, and fuzzing, while advising product teams and developing security policies.
- Perform chip level security testing and design reviews
- Research and develop new tools and techniques
- Provide technical security consultation and expertise
- Create mitigations for identified risks
- Develop training materials to enhance security awareness
Responsibilities
You will help guide secure device development at Amazon, propose research initiatives, and participate in projects to develop intellectual property. Working closely with business teams, you will promote secure chip architecture and assist with secure boot and firmware code reviews.
