About the role
Security and Loss Prevention Expert
Our operational network, known for its speed, accuracy, and exceptional service, delivers millions of parcels and smiles to Amazon customers every day. To secure our network and ensure operational continuity, we are seeking experienced talents with a keen eye for detail to join our team as a Loss Prevention Expert. In this key role, you will ensure security as a service for our operational sites throughout the supply chain to protect our employees and prevent losses.
Key job responsibilities
- Support the resilience of our business operations by contributing to emergency and crisis planning for the sites under your responsibility.
- Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities (e.g., losses, associate experience, process improvement) and define appropriate mitigation actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Serve as a point of contact and coordinate risk management measures with local management and external parties (e.g., law enforcement and labor organizations) for all security-related matters.
- Ensure the compliance of your sites with Amazon's global security standards.
- Be responsible for security and loss prevention projects at the local, regional, and national levels.
A day in the life
As a Security and Loss Prevention Expert, you will join a team of Security professionals who provide security services to business customers at multiple sites within a dedicated geographic area. You will conduct regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events. During your investigations, you will collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews. Your findings will help identify vulnerabilities in our processes, and you will identify and drive mitigation measures. You will play a key role in maintaining the physical integrity of our sites by auditing and monitoring the health of our systems and, in conjunction with subject matter experts and external vendors, maintaining their functionality. You will identify and act on initiatives to improve our physical security infrastructure and directly contribute to budget planning for our vendors. You will interact daily with our security service providers to ensure quality security services and a smooth customer experience. Finally, you will deliver loss prevention training and awareness programs to other teams and manage the implementation of our Security and Loss Prevention plan.

As part of our Global Security Operations teams worldwide, Security and Loss Prevention supports the achievement of Amazon's business objectives and the enhancement of our brand by effectively protecting against threats and managing security and loss prevention risks that could:
- Endanger our associates and customers
- Disrupt the continuity of our business operations
- Cause damage to our assets
- Negatively impact our brand reputation
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, we secure Amazon's end-to-end supply chain and promote safety in business discussions. We do this by preventing security and loss prevention risks and vulnerabilities as early as possible. We intervene in ongoing incidents to minimize their impact, as well as thoroughly investigate security-related incidents to identify and eliminate root causes, thereby preventing their recurrence.
Basic Qualifications
- Degree or experience in security or risk management (security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, audit, compliance, or similar).
- Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken French.
- Intermediate level in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree, degree equivalent, or professional certification.
- Experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or contract security guard management.
- Relevant experience in retail, warehouses, distribution centers, delivery services, or supply chain.
- Experience in data collection and analysis.
- Driver's license.
