About the role
Software Developer - Test (SDET) - Appstore Developer Experience
Amazon Appstore Worldwide is seeking a passionate Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join our team. You will be instrumental in building world-class products and services for mobile app developers and customers. This is a unique and challenging role where you will design and develop wide-reaching tools, combining software design engineering with test engineering. Your primary responsibility will be to write frameworks and tools that automatically verify product functionality and identify issues.
Responsibilities
- Design and build automated test frameworks and test suites for development and testing cycles.
- Build frameworks for non-functional tests.
- Participate in design and code inspections.
- Build frameworks for E2E tests.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience building test automation frameworks and tools.
- 3+ years of professional software development testing experience (non-internship).
- Experience programming with at least one modern language (Java, C++, C#) including object-oriented design.
- Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment.
- Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment.
- Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services.
