Program Manager KDP Author and Agent Relationships
Amazon's Books team is looking for a leader to help us continue to revolutionize how customers buy and read books. We are looking for an experienced, curious and thoughtful professional to work with authors, literary agents and other content creators in France, Italy and Spain as they add selection to the Amazon store and use Kindle Direct Publishing and the many programs available to help authors succeed. You will work hard to improve existing programs while constantly looking out for new opportunities to help authors reach their readers on Amazon.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of building strong relationships, analytical skills, innovation, and delivering results. You must be able to influence internally and externally, across functions and at scale, often in ambiguous situations. You will establish and drive new relationships while strengthening those existing within the literary community. You will be customer focused, entrepreneurial, a proven self-starter, and have the demonstrated ability to invent. You will demonstrate an appetite for problem solving with ingenuity and simplicity to seek out new content opportunities and helping content creators find their readers.
As the ideal candidate, you have an excellent business judgment, with a track record of successful relationship management and negotiation, balancing internal and external considerations to arrive at the right outcomes. This will be combined with proven analytical skills to ensure successful outcomes for authors and customers. You will also demonstrate superb project management skills and will collaborate with external as well as internal partners. You will have excellent attention to detail, the tenacity to develop ideas and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
