Key Job Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of associate training programs: from needs analysis to management and execution.
  • Ensure new and upskilling employees quickly develop the knowledge and ability to become experts.
  • Coach trainers, understand their motivations, support their career development.
  • Assess, evaluate, and prioritize manager/leader development needs with site leadership.
  • Match needs with existing learning content and facilitate delivery.
  • Identify gaps in learning content and collaborate with network teams for innovation and content creation.
  • Gather customer feedback on network training initiatives.
  • Use data to understand performance issues and improve training/coaching quality.
  • Build relationships and influence site leadership to address learning inhibitors.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for training and coaching improvement.
  • Lead projects to improve training materials, instruction quality, and coaching effectiveness.
  • Support the delivery of local and EU-wide projects to improve site operations.
  • Identify additional training materials and train trainers on new/changed processes.
  • Provide a safe learning environment for timely compliance and safety training.
  • Plan and execute the recruitment and training of internal instructors.
  • Ensure delivery of European standard training content.

A Day in the Life

As a Process Improvement Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of making Amazon’s logistics better – which means improving safety, productivity, and quality. Part of your role will involve running observations and audits to identify where processes could be enhanced. Another part of your role will be recommending changes and using your project management and stakeholder management skills to put new processes in place.

You’ll be based at one of our sites and accountable for positively influencing operational efficiency at the site. If needed, you will carry out analysis at other local or national sites. On top of dealing with productivity and safety, you’ll have the opportunity to share best practices and ideas with our EU network. In this role, you’ll use data to drive improvements and continue to grow our shipping capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; experience engaging multiple stakeholders.
  • Managed and developed a team, achieving collective success.
  • Data skills to understand how Learning activities impact site metrics.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, adapting quickly.
  • Experience in technical training, Training Needs Analysis, performance gap assessment, learning needs analysis, designing customer-centric solutions, and evaluating learning effectiveness.
  • Full proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Operations professionals with a proven track record in complex manufacturing/production environments.
  • Understanding of ‘standard work’ and ‘lean principles’.
  • Experienced coordinating training programs and agendas.
  • Experienced in change management and process improvement activities.
