Job Summary

Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. As an Operations Manager, you will lead and develop a team of salaried and hourly talent. You will be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain high levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. The role involves providing your team with the necessary tools for success and driving productivity improvements through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving.

This position plays a key role in ensuring customer orders are delivered at the right time and location. The workflow comprises three major components: First mile (housing the product), Middle mile (transporting the order), and Last mile (delivery to the customer).

Key Responsibilities And Job Elements

  • Support, mentor, and motivate salaried and hourly workforce.
  • Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact.
  • Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews and load balancing.
  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
  • Collaborate with support teams (Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR) to meet business objectives.
  • Perform physical tasks: lift up to 49 pounds, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Work long shifts in variable noise levels and weather conditions.
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs as required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of employee and performance management experience; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience; flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, lean techniques, managing a large team, and implementing improvements using Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma. Degrees in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics or related fields. Experience in military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, and similar environments.
