Key Job Responsibilities for an Operations Intern

As an Operations Intern at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to apply your analytical skills through high-impact projects that will improve the functioning and quality of service of distribution centers, sortation centers, and delivery stations.

  • Analyze data to identify operational problems and opportunities for improvement.
  • Propose and test solutions, implementing the most effective ones in collaboration with various involved teams.
  • Successfully lead priority projects that meet high quality standards, demonstrating your ability to achieve results.
  • Develop your communication and teamwork skills by collaborating with managers, colleagues, and employees at all levels and across different teams.
  • Be mobile across different areas of the warehouse to interact with all teams. This includes gathering knowledge by participating in morning briefings and team meetings on various warehouse flows and processes.

A Day in the Life of an Operations Intern

An Operations Intern position offers a deep dive into the dynamic and complex world of our distribution centers, sortation centers, and delivery stations, where you will follow a customer order's journey and understand how our managers mobilize their teams to meet customer expectations.

About The Team

Intern Community: As an Amazon intern, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive community that will foster your growth and development. You will collaborate with interns from around the world, networking and participating in social events to broaden your perspectives. You can also join specialized groups based on your interests (such as a group on sustainability and its applications at Amazon).

Support: The internship program offers a robust support system, including weekly phone slots (Q&A), dedicated support from our IT and HR teams, and a dedicated program team. This will ensure you have all the guidance and assistance needed to succeed.

Training: Exclusive training sessions will allow you to enhance your skills by giving you access to Amazon's cutting-edge learning platforms and the expertise of industry leaders. These structured development opportunities will prepare you to kick-start your career.

Benefits & Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the internship, a full-time position or a second internship may be offered to allow you to continue your journey at Amazon. Additionally, you will receive competitive monthly compensation, relocation assistance, and access to a range of social benefits.

Internship Start Dates Throughout the Year: We are recruiting interns to start anytime between January and July 2026. Each month, we will organize 1 to 2 onboarding days for new arrivals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently in the penultimate year of a bachelor's, master's, or equivalent university degree in logistics, supply chain, production, engineering, Business Management, or a similar discipline.
  • Meet all criteria to be able to complete a full-time internship of 3 to 6 months in France.
  • Very good command of English and French, both written and oral (C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

  • Geographical mobility.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating effectively with others.
  • Curiosity, proactivity, and proven willingness to take on challenges in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment.
