This team plays a crucial role in enabling automation within Amazon Robotics Fulfillment Centers. Serving Amazon's Internal Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics teams, this role contributes to automation through real-time and offline (image/video) data auditing services. A primary objective of this team is to support fulfillment centers in maintaining high inventory accuracy.

As an ML Data Operations Associate, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing video footage of stowing actions within a fulfillment center. You will apply human judgment, in conjunction with provided tools and resources, to accurately identify and indicate activities captured in the video. This involves verifying or marking product locations through a specialized tool, with a strong emphasis on maintaining the highest level of accuracy. This process is instrumental in upholding the fulfillment center's stow quality and aiding in defect reduction.

This is an operational role requiring precise and thorough video/image audits with high accuracy and speed under general supervision.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Watch several hundred videos per shift, providing responses that meet accuracy (quality), speed (productivity), and practice goals.
• Adhere to pre-defined break schedules to ensure 6.8 to 7 hours of daily video processing time.
• Maintain a dedicated workspace (table, chair, sufficient lighting) and ensure work-related data is not accessed by unauthorized individuals (for remote associates).

The Candidate Is Expected To Demonstrate

• Willingness to work in a non-tech, operational role for a contract duration of 6 months.
• Ability to audit image, video, and text-based tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in identifying details from blurry or less sharp videos, requiring high attention and focus.
• Readiness to meet incremental targets and goals for quality and productivity.
• A fast pace of implementation and consistent performance.
• Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, and collaborate effectively in remote teams.
• Willingness to come to the office when required (applicable for work-from-home associates).
• Comfort with switching on a laptop camera during virtual meetings.

A Day In The Life

ML Data Operations Associates work in a 24x7 environment with rotational shifts, typically 9 hours including pre-scheduled breaks. Shift timings are subject to change every 3-4 months or as per business requirements. Night shift allowances are provided as per applicable Amazon's work policy. Weekly offs are rotational, comprising two consecutive days (not necessarily Saturday and Sunday), maintaining a 5-day working week.

About The Team

The Data Auditing Operations team provides essential human support to Amazon Fulfillment facilities. The ultimate goal is to enable hands-free active stowing through visual audits of videos and images. Associates audit brief videos (typically 15-20 seconds) containing information on products stored in fulfillment centers. These thoroughly reviewed and audited videos, leveraging human judgment, significantly increase the effectiveness of automated processes and help maintain overall stow quality. Associate performance is continuously evaluated for improvements and coaching.
