Job Description
About the Role: ML Data Operations Associate
This team enables automation at Amazon Robotics Fulfillment centers. The team supports Amazon Internal Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics by providing automation services, including real-time and offline (image/video) data auditing. A key contribution of this role is maintaining inventory accuracy within fulfillment centers.
An Associate will watch videos of stowing actions in a fulfillment center, thoroughly understand the content, and apply human judgment, tools, and resources to identify the activity. You will be responsible for verifying or marking product locations through a specialized tool, maintaining the highest level of accuracy. This process is crucial for upholding the fulfillment center's stow quality and aiding in defect reduction through precise video/image audits.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Watch several hundred videos per shift, providing responses that meet goals for accuracy, speed, and acceptable practices.
- Adhere to pre-defined break slots, ensuring 6.8 to 7 hours of daily video response time.
- For work-from-home associates, maintain a dedicated workspace (table, chair, sufficient lighting) and ensure work-related data is not accessed by others.
The Candidate Is Expected To Demonstrate
- Willingness to work in a non-tech operational role for a 6-month contract duration.
- Ability to audit various media types: image, video, and text-based jobs.
- Proficiency in identifying details from blurry or less sharp videos, requiring high attention and focus.
- Readiness to meet incremental targets/goals for quality and productivity.
- A fast pace of implementation and consistent performance.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, within remote teams, and be an exceptional team player.
- Availability to come to the office for a few days when required (applicable for associates working from home).
- Willingness to keep the laptop camera on during virtual meetings.
A Day in the Life
Associates operate in a 24x7 environment with rotational shifts, typically working a 9-hour shift that includes pre-scheduled breaks. Shift timings are subject to change every 3-4 months or as per business requirements. Night shift allowance will be provided as per applicable Amazon's work policy when working night shifts.
Weekly offs are rotational, consisting of two consecutive days off (a 5-day working week), not necessarily Saturday and Sunday, or as per business discretion.
