Overview
Amazon's Global Corporate Procurement organization is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management leader. In this role, you will serve as the procurement lead, partnering with Business Development teams to structure and negotiate complex, high-impact deals that span Amazon business units including AWS. Your expertise in procurement, vendor management, and strategic deal structuring will be critical in optimizing relationships and driving value across Amazon.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives for complex deals.
- Collaborate with Business Development teams to optimize customer and vendor relationships.
- Structure deals to support Amazon's global spending and relationship growth.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Tax, and business stakeholders to execute agreements.
- Develop and implement vendor management strategies and performance metrics.
- Lead business reviews with strategic vendors to address performance and improvement opportunities.
- Provide procurement expertise to support strategic partner relationships.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across Amazon business units and teams.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Basic: BA/BS degree and 5+ years in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, contract management, and financial analysis.
Preferred: MBA or Master's degree, experience engaging with C-level executives, expertise in technology or cloud services procurement, and a proven track record negotiating complex deals ($25M+).
Compensation & Additional Information
The base pay ranges from $136,900 to $203,700 based on geographic market and experience. Additional compensation can include equity, sign-on bonuses, and benefits.
