Overview

Amazon Ads is seeking an experienced Manager for our Programmatic Solutions Consultants team to join our growing business in Germany (Hamburg or Munich). This role involves managing a team, developing strategy, and driving business results through programmatic advertising technology.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Navigate high ambiguity and manage whitespace like your own company.
  • Take ownership of a team of Programmatic Solutions Consultants, including resource planning and achieving customer category success.
  • Work tactically and strategically to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Analyze data to develop opportunities and influence business decisions.
  • Set goals aligned with broader business objectives and vision.
  • Hire, develop, and lead both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Monitor and manage service operations for efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Implement innovative ideas and lead cross-functional collaborations.
  • Manage risks, bottlenecks, and trade-offs effectively.
  • Communicate across diverse stakeholder groups and represent Amazon at high-level meetings.

A Day in the Life

  • Lead a frontline team enabling trading desk customers on the Amazon DSP.
  • Attend meetings with client leadership for certification and support plans.
  • Plan strategies with Ad Tech Sales stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Product teams on feature upgrades and roadmaps.
  • Conduct performance reviews and career development sessions with team members.
  • Prepare weekly business reviews with data-driven insights.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years professional experience.
  • 3+ years of managing direct reports.
  • 2+ years in programmatic advertising.
  • Solid experience in digital advertising and client-facing roles.
  • Strong skills in data analytics and performance assessment.
  • Proven ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability in stressful situations.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing direct reports.
  • Strong communication and goal-setting skills.
  • Technical and operational expertise in programmatic advertising technologies (DSP, RTB, bid shading, machine learning optimization, etc.).
  • Experience in e-commerce, omni-channel marketing, SEO, and digital analytics.
  • Knowledge of services/products in ad technology and programmatic advertising.
  • Applied knowledge of statistics and program evaluation.
