Ready to build the foundation of your software engineering career in a growth-focused program? Amazon is looking for highly motivated students to join the Jr Developer Program. As a Jr Software Development Engineer, you will write real software and collaborate with experienced engineers who provide guidance and opportunities for ownership. Your designs and code will help solve complex technical challenges at Amazon.
Program Details
The Jr Developer Program is a year-round internship that balances work and school with part-time work during the academic year (16 hours/week) and full-time work during the summer (40 hours/week). Selected candidates benefit from 1:1 mentoring, bi-annual performance reviews, and integration into established teams in Seattle and Bellevue.
Basic Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university (Bachelor's or Master's)
- Graduating June 2028 or later
- Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field
- Programming experience in Java, Python, or C++ and object-oriented design
- Ability to work in person and within commuting distance to Seattle or Bellevue
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous technical internship experience
- Strong articulation of technical challenges and solutions
- Problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity
