About the Role

As an IT Operations Manager for Ops Tech Solutions (OTS) at Amazon, you will lead a team of IT professionals to deliver innovative technical support to Amazon's Operations team. This role involves supporting the complex IT infrastructure that powers millions of customer order fulfillments daily. You will work with a diverse technology landscape, including various hardware, extensive networking, and a wide range of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Android) used across different facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and develop a team of IT professionals across multiple locations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs and OSHA regulations for a secure work environment.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to enhance IT solutions through continuous improvement.
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with operational partners and staff.
  • Lead the setup of IT infrastructure in new fulfillment centers.
  • Manage and supervise daily technical support activities, including troubleshooting, customer service, approvals, and installations.
  • Monitor and maintain team performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for contact and resolution times.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes for IT operations.
  • Oversee the management of equipment and parts inventory.
  • Create, manage, and support employee recognition and communication initiatives.
  • Travel up to 30% as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing technical teams across multiple locations.
  • 2+ years of experience leading technology teams as an IT operations manager.
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Proficiency in Linux or Unix systems administration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hardware architectures.
  • Experience with system management tools and client/server environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $116,800.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually. The total compensation package may include sign-on bonuses and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
