Job Description
About the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Team
Our RME team is at the forefront of Amazon's commitment to innovation. As Amazon evolves, the RME team ensures that the tools and technologies we use keep pace. As a Senior RME Technician, you will help us stay ahead with new technologies and high-performing work methods. You will uphold high standards in all our processes and propose areas for improvement to elevate them further.Key Job Responsibilities
- Apply best practices for safe equipment use and monitor teams to ensure adherence to procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections, condition-based monitoring, and preventive maintenance to assess equipment performance.
- Plan additional maintenance tasks as required.
- Supervise technicians on their tasks to help them learn, grow, and act as a point of contact for RME engineers.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to reduce downtime and enable operations to process packages as quickly as possible.
- Contribute to finding solutions to continuously improve systems and standardize processes across the European network.
A Day in the Life
You will lead teams, ensuring everyone has the necessary equipment and that it functions correctly. You will achieve this by overseeing processes to ensure regulations and policies are followed, and by ensuring preventive maintenance operations run smoothly to optimize equipment usage. Your keen sense of observation will help you formulate suggestions to increase the efficiency of our systems. You will then implement these improvements across the European Union. You will ensure the performance of our processes by analyzing them using tools such as Scada and work closely with your direct manager to assist them with administrative tasks. This position is based at one of our operational sites. You will work in shifts, which may include weekends and nights. The experience gained in this dynamic Amazon department will allow you to gradually take on more responsibilities.About the Team
Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles last-mile delivery operations in partnership with third-party delivery companies. We leverage creativity and initiatives for continuous improvement to deliver millions of physical products to our customers. Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as seamless as possible and to deploy global delivery solutions for our latest concepts, such as Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants. Our work is done in two ways. Our 'under the roof' employees process millions of products before sending them to our delivery teams. The human element is at the core of the team's activities. Our 'on the road' employees work with Amazon Flex, a network of delivery companies. Each year, we raise the bar for customer experience with new delivery services. We are looking for new ways to overcome the logistical challenges of the industry and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, relying on a fleet of vehicles (including electric vehicles) and cutting-edge technologies.Basic Qualifications
