Overview
At Amazon, the HR Partner is a frontline consultant in HR programs, processes, and tools. Acting as a subject matter expert, the HR Partner builds credibility by offering sound advice on people matters and ensuring a positive employee experience.
Employee Relations & Support
Manage employee relations including disciplinary measures, performance improvement, exit management and channeling transactional inquiries.
- Redirect inquiries to HRS Tier1/Tier2
- Handle non-routine inquiries for employees and managers
- Conduct investigations and coordinate with legal on ER matters
Performance Management
Partner with managers on performance management processes from initiation to finalizing separation agreements, analyzing trends, and recommending data-driven solutions.
Talent Management And People Development Consulting
Advise managers on compensation, talent reviews, training opportunities, and career development, ensuring increased self-sufficiency and managerial capability.
HR General
Maintain the employee experience and act as a culture keeper. Manage programs, deliver manager education through various formats, and drive cross functional projects that harmonize HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
The HR Partner is responsible for talent management, employee relations, and people development. They are expected to identify trends and emerging needs to drive innovative people programs.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in HR or related field with 3-5 years relevant experience is required. A master’s degree, cross-functional experience, strong communication, and the ability to handle ambiguity and priorities are preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay ranges from $60,900 to $130,200 per year depending on the geographical market. Additional components may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of benefits.
