About the General Marketing Specialist II Role at Amazon

As a General Marketing Specialist II at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role within the Omni-channel grocery organization, focusing on the strategic and operational aspects of marketing. This position involves leveraging customer insights and robust data to drive marketing program efficacy, manage forecasts, and coordinate go-to-market initiatives effectively across various channels. You will be instrumental in ensuring that marketing and creative efforts are aligned with business objectives and executed seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize customer research, hard data, and metrics to generate accurate forecasts and assess the effectiveness of diverse marketing programs.
  • Oversee omni-channel marketing intake, prioritization, and execution of creative and marketing initiatives within the Fresh Marketing organization.
  • Ensure project goals are aligned with overarching business objectives, fostering seamless coordination among cross-functional teams and external agencies.
  • Drive timely delivery of projects while continuously identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
  • Own the strategic initiative calendar for Omni-Channel Amazon Fresh, defining and implementing intake processes for marketing initiatives and creative resource allocation across departments.
  • Operationalize a framework for evaluating and prioritizing projects based on their estimated business impact and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate with marketing leads to determine appropriate marketing support levels for initiatives, based on strategic alignment with business priorities, through regular reviews.
  • Define and execute mechanisms and reports that provide high-level project status updates to internal customers and stakeholders, identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Work with Creative, Analytics, Channel, and offshore teams to scale successful intake and reporting processes through simplification, outsourcing, and automation.
  • Partner directly with Creative Teams to operationalize marketing initiatives and new brand positioning for Amazon Fresh, specifically focusing on the tactical allocation of design resources.

Basic Qualifications

A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Advertising, Design, Communication, or a related discipline, combined with 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Advertising, Design, Communication, or a related discipline, along with three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include:

  • One (1) year of experience in product vision design for cross-platform experiences.
  • One (1) year of experience with consumer brand experience design.
  • One (1) year of experience with design, wire-framing, and prototyping tools.

Compensation Details

The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $89,128/year to $141,100/year. Base pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
