About the Hosted Execution (HEX) Team at Amazon
The Hosted Execution (HEX) team is seeking a Contract DevOps Engineer to contribute to strategic goals within Amazon Global Infrastructure Runtime for Developers (GRID) systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to join our mission of building and managing technological solutions that empower our customers, enhancing developer productivity across Amazon.
Role Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in providing customer support, managing system migrations, and performing troubleshooting and maintenance for critical systems. A key aspect of your role will involve engaging with customers to understand their needs and identifying opportunities for automation to continuously improve developer workflows and system efficiency. Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of software development or technical support experience
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID
- Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
