About the Role

The Business Intelligence Engineer at Amazon will build and support scalable, automated reporting systems for data-driven decision making. Working within the Data and Analytics team of the SPEAR Organization, you will architect large-scale data solutions, drive advanced analytics through statistical methods, AI integration, and data visualization techniques, and mentor peers to enforce best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full project delivery including stakeholder management and change management.
  • Develop and implement metrics and advanced analytics frameworks.
  • Architect and implement large-scale data solutions using technologies like Redshift, MySQL, Oracle, Python, and R.
  • Research and implement innovative methodologies in data analytics.
  • Design and drive adoption of self-service analytics platforms and visualization tools.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to resolve data quality issues.
  • Set technical standards for ETL/ELT practices and mentor team members.
  • Establish governance frameworks and provide detailed technical documentation.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis with platforms like Redshift and Oracle.
  • Experience in data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight or similar tools.
  • Expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting (Python); advanced Excel skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quantitative fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Master's degree in a related quantitative field.
  • Experience in large-scale data mining and ETL processes.

Additional Information
