Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical solutions utilizing the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
  • Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data.
  • Analyze and solve business problems at their root, understanding the broader context.

A Day in the Life

As a Business Intelligence Engineer Intern, you will build data pipelines, reports, dashboards, and analyses to deliver metrics and insights to the business. You will tackle some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing, working in small teams to contribute to an e-commerce platform used by millions worldwide. Technical skills in several areas are required for this role.

About The Team

The Amazon University Talent Acquisition Team offers competitive pay, impactful project deliverables, networking opportunities, and mentorship. Interns participate in events like speaker series and Leadership Principles sessions. Successful interns may be considered for a graduate role. Internship lengths are either 3 or 12 months, with varied start dates.

Basic Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
  • Experience with data querying or modeling with SQL or Excel.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++.
  • Experience with SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of how to improve code quality and optimize BI processes (e.g., speed, cost, reliability).
