About the Role: Associate, ML Data Operations
This team plays a crucial role in enabling automation within Amazon Robotics Fulfillment Centers. Supporting Amazon Internal Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics teams, this role contributes to automation through real-time and offline (image/video) data auditing services. A primary objective is maintaining inventory accuracy across fulfillment centers.
As an Associate, ML Data Operations, you will meticulously review stowing actions captured in video footage from fulfillment centers. This involves applying human judgment, alongside specialized tools and resources, to precisely indicate activities and verify product locations. Your high degree of accuracy is vital for maintaining the fulfillment center's stow quality and aiding in defect reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Watch several hundred videos per shift, providing accurate and timely responses.
- Adhere to goals for accuracy (quality), speed (productivity), and best practices.
- Ensure 6.8 to 7 hours of active video auditing per day, with pre-defined breaks.
- Maintain a dedicated, well-lit workspace if working from home, ensuring data privacy.
- Demonstrate willingness to work in a non-tech, contract role for 6 months.
- Audit image, video, and text-based jobs effectively.
- Identify details from blurry or less sharp videos, maintaining high attention and focus.
- Adapt to incremental quality and productivity targets with consistent performance.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Be a strong team player, ready for rotational shifts, including nights.
- Be prepared to come to the office when required (for remote associates) and switch on laptop camera for virtual meetings.
A Day in the Life
Associates operate within a 24x7 environment, working rotational 9-hour shifts which include pre-scheduled breaks. Shift timings may adjust every 3-4 months based on business needs. Night shift allowances are provided according to Amazon's policy. Weekly offs consist of two consecutive rotational days, ensuring a 5-day working week.
About the Team
The Data Auditing Operations team offers essential human support to Amazon Fulfillment facilities. The goal is to facilitate hands-free active stowing by performing visual audits on short videos (15-20 seconds) and images of products stored in fulfillment centers. Your thorough review and expert human judgment in auditing these videos significantly enhance the effectiveness of automated processes and contribute directly to maintaining stow quality. Performance improvements and coaching will be a regular part of your development.
