Job Overview: Associate, ML Data Operations
This team plays a crucial role in enabling automation within Amazon Robotics Fulfillment centers. They support Amazon Internal Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics teams by providing essential automation services, including real-time and offline (image/video) data auditing. A primary contribution of this team is maintaining inventory accuracy within fulfillment centers.
As an Associate, ML Data Operations, your main responsibility will involve meticulously reviewing video footage of stowing actions in fulfillment centers. You will be required to understand the captured activity thoroughly, applying human judgment in conjunction with provided tools and resources to accurately indicate the activity in the video. This includes verifying or marking product locations through a specialized tool, consistently maintaining the highest level of accuracy. This process is vital for ensuring the stow quality of the fulfillment center and aiding in defect reduction through precise and thorough video/image audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Watch several hundred videos per shift, providing accurate responses based on quality and productivity goals.
- Ensure 6.8 to 7 hours of daily video review, adhering to pre-defined break schedules.
- For remote work, maintain a dedicated workspace with appropriate lighting; ensure work-related data is not accessed by others.

- Willingness to undertake a non-tech role for a 6-month contract duration.

A Day in the Life
Associates operate within a 24x7 environment, working rotational shifts. A standard shift is 9 hours, including pre-scheduled breaks. Shift timings are subject to change every 3-4 months or as business needs dictate. Night shift allowance will be provided as per Amazon’s applicable work policy. Weekly offs are rotational, consisting of two consecutive days, not necessarily Saturday and Sunday, making it a 5-day working week.
About The Team
The Data Auditing Operations team provides essential human support to Amazon Fulfillment facilities. Their primary objective is to enable hands-free active stowing through visual audits of videos and images. Associates audit brief videos (typically 15-20 seconds) containing information on products being stored. These videos require thorough review using human judgment to increase the effectiveness of automated processes and maintain stow quality. Performance improvements and coaching are integral to this role.
