Associate, ML Data Operations
This team enables automation at Amazon Robotics Fulfillment centers by providing real-time and offline (image/video) data auditing services. A key contribution of this team is supporting fulfillment centers in maintaining inventory accuracy.
As an Associate, ML Data Operations, you will watch stowing action videos from a fulfillment center, thoroughly understand them, and use human judgment with tools to indicate the activity captured. You will verify or mark product locations through a tool, maintaining the highest level of accuracy. This operational role aids in defect reduction by ensuring precise and thorough video/image audits with high accuracy and speed.
Key job responsibilities
- Watch several hundred videos per shift, providing responses by following goals on accuracy, speed, and acceptable practices.
- Ensure 6.8 to 7 hours of time per day is spent answering videos, taking breaks at pre-defined slots.
- Maintain a dedicated workspace (table, chair, sufficient lighting) and ensure work-related data is not accessed by anyone other than the employee when working from home.
The Candidate Is Expected To Demonstrate
- Willingness to work in a Non-tech role for a contract duration of 6 months.
- Ability to audit image/video/text based jobs effectively.
- Ability to identify details from blurry, less sharp videos, requiring a high level of attention and focus on screen.
- Willingness to work on incremental targets/goals for quality and productivity.
- Fast pace of implementation and consistent performance.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts (including night shifts), remote teams, and be an exceptionally good team player.
- Readiness to come to the office for a few days when required (applicable for associates working from home).
- Willingness to switch on laptop camera while on virtual meetings.
A day in the life
Associates work in a 24x7 environment with rotational shifts, typically 9-hour shifts including pre-scheduled breaks. Shift timings are subject to change every 3-4 months or as per business requirement. Night shift allowance will be provided as per applicable Amazon's work policy for night shifts.
Weekly Offs: Rotational two-consecutive day off (a 5-day working week, not necessarily Saturday and Sunday) or as per business discretion.
About The Team
The Data Auditing Operations team provides human support to Amazon Fulfillment facilities to enable hands-free active stowing through visual audits on videos/images. Brief duration videos (15-20 seconds) are sent to the Operations Team for human audit with information on products being stored. These videos must be thoroughly reviewed and audited using best human judgment to increase the effectiveness of the automated process. This process helps maintain stow quality at the fulfillment center, and Associates will be evaluated for performance improvements/coaching.
