Overview

AWS Infrastructure Services manages the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In this role as a Data Center Operations Technician under the Work Based Learning Program, you will support all aspects of our data center operations and contribute to maintaining service availability through hardware installations, troubleshooting, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix tasks.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and operational incidents.
  • Serve as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives.

A Day in the Life

As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will take ownership of technical issues by engaging cross-functional teams, ensuring root-cause solutions, and maintaining service level agreements. Shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays is required along with regional travel using your own vehicle.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; 18 years or older; willingness to support 24/7 operations via shift rotations.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems; experience with ticketing systems and Microsoft Office; familiarity with STEM/vocational training; alignment with Amazon's leadership principles.
