Job Overview
AWS is launching the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025. As the Systems Development Manager ESC Managed Operations, you will lead and build high-availability development and operations teams delivering AWS services such as EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock exclusively for EU customers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the ESC launch and work with global AWS teams.
- Enhance day-to-day operations for reliability and efficiency.
- Lead teams in systems operations and development with focus on automation.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to streamline processes and performance.
- Coach and mentor team members and drive escalation calls when needed.

Basic and Preferred Qualifications
Applicants must be an EU national with a Bachelor in a related field and technical leadership experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, strong programming, systems engineering and distributed systems expertise.
