The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) organization is crucial for driving revenue, adoption, and growth, serving a wide range of clients from fast-growing small- and mid-market accounts to large enterprise and public sector customers. The AWS Global Support team plays a vital role, interacting with leading companies and providing world-class support essential for customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global roster of customers building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
The Solutions Architect Role
As an FSI Digital Natives Solutions Architect (SA), you will work closely with technical decision-makers, co-founders, engineers, and developers to maximize their utilization of the AWS Cloud. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, engaging with organizations at every stage of their cloud adoption journey. Our Solutions Architects are also leaders in creating and presenting technical content and best practices.
Key Responsibilities of a Solutions Architect
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and other AWS teams to develop architectures, proof of concepts, and demonstrations that address customer business needs and accelerate the adoption of appropriate AWS technology.
- Help design and shape solutions covering a broad spectrum of technical concerns, including security, tenant isolation in compute and storage, hybrid networking, CI/CD for faster time to market, rightsizing and auto-scaling of infrastructure, and purpose-built databases.
- Rapidly learn new technologies, develop industry-relevant architectures, and articulate their business value.
- Work directly with customers to expedite their projects and recommend best-practice cloud architectures aligned with their long-term business outcomes.
- Lead technical solution discussions, delving deep into details to resolve complex technical business problems and leveraging your expertise to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
- Scope and manage each customer engagement, ensuring clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.
- Define and execute strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, Customer Solution Managers, and consulting/managed services partners).
- Act as a thought leader in the wider community by educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers and blogs, and conducting workshops.

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients/business partners/stakeholders/customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
