About the Role
The Senior Manager Event Programs Customer Engagement Programs role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a leadership position within the Event Content & Tools organization. The role is responsible for shaping and executing platform operations excellence across the entire event portfolio and influencing AWS's event content strategy. It includes driving organizational transformation and evolving how AWS delivers compelling content through events.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Drive customer-obsessed platform operations for global marketing events and campaigns.
- Own end-to-end platform operations strategy ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Innovate and simplify complex operational processes through automation and streamlined workflows.
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, product, data science, and marketing.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team focused on technical excellence and customer obsession.
- Implement scalable processes, training programs, and best practices for global enablement.
- Manage technical project portfolios and ensure on-time delivery of platform enhancements.
- Oversee event onsite technology operations to deliver optimal attendee experiences.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship marketing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or equivalent.
- 5+ years in platform operations or technical program management focused on marketing technology.
- Experience in people development and building technical teams.
- Experience in global enablement and marketing technology operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
- Experience in event management technology, marketing automation platforms, or digital marketing operations.
- Proven track record in scaling platform operations globally.
- Experience with AWS or cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and software development lifecycle management.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary ranges vary by location: New York, NY (~156,100 - 211,200 USD annually), Austin, TX (~142,000 - 192,000 USD annually), and Seattle, WA (~142,000 - 192,000 USD annually). Compensation packages include sign-on payments, RSUs, and comprehensive benefits.
