The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is actively seeking a skilled Senior Delivery Consultant – Application Modernization, to join our expert team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with customers to meticulously design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that not only meet their technical requirements but also align seamlessly with their business objectives. You will serve as a key leader in driving customer success throughout their cloud journey, providing essential technical expertise and applying best practices across the entire project lifecycle.

As a Senior Delivery Consultant, Application Modernization, you will demonstrate proficiency in leading the architecture of complex, scalable, and secure solutions specifically tailored to address the unique needs of each customer. You'll engage closely with stakeholders to thoroughly gather requirements, comprehensively assess current applications, and propose highly effective migration strategies to AWS. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will offer invaluable guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions. You will also be directly responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring strict adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and proactively managing risks throughout the project duration.

The AWS Professional Services organization operates as a global team of experts dedicated to helping customers achieve their desired business outcomes when leveraging the AWS Cloud. We work collaboratively with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to successfully execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides comprehensive assistance through a diverse collection of offerings designed to help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. Furthermore, we deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which encompass a wide array of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Leading the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies.
• Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.
• Experience as a tech lead or leading a high-performing consulting team.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
• 5+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc., experience.
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience leading application architecture/design/modernization projects, including cloud-based solutioning (AWS or equivalent), with AI and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree or above, or AWS Professional level certification.
• Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.
• AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation).
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading large-scale software development and modernization initiatives, with deep expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Microservices) and Generative AI tools/technologies.
• Proven ability to lead software engineering best practices across testing, source control, code reviews, and deployment/release management processes.
