Security Program Manager, Data Center Security at AWS

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Security Team is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Security Program Manager to join our dedicated team in Israel. At Amazon, our commitment is to be the most customer-centric company globally, which necessitates a team of exceptionally talented, bright, and driven individuals.

Upon successful application, you will play a crucial role in the design, installation, and seamless integration of security systems equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and timely repair of this critical security infrastructure.

This role demands involvement across all related disciplines and levels, encompassing technology research, comprehensive system design and layout, oversight of construction and implementation, and ongoing maintenance and upgrades throughout the system's lifecycle. An in-depth knowledge of security technology is essential, alongside a capacity for innovation, strong organizational skills, and a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget.

As a key member of the EMEA Security team, you will report directly to the Multi Cluster Security Program Manager.

Your ultimate success will be gauged by your contribution to the development, implementation, and commissioning of standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region. This will be measured against agreed-upon objectives and metrics related to key areas such as the quality of customer service, effectiveness of access control, and the paramount protection of customer data, employees, and visitors. You will also ensure adherence to Physical Security Standards and Programs that support the Global Physical Security Team's objectives, while empowering local site managers to utilize related services in a self-service manner.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrating excellent project management skills, with the capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effectively prioritizing tasks and ensuring seamless operation across various organizational boundaries.
  • Executing and coordinating preventative maintenance and essential repairs for security system equipment.
  • Ensuring stringent compliance with physical security project standards, project Scopes of Work, budgetary constraints, and established timelines.
  • Designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change-outs.
  • Providing robust support for security system equipment commissioning.
  • Completing thorough final Test and Acceptance procedures for security systems.
  • Building and deploying comprehensive training programs for all users of physical security systems.

We are the backbone ensuring the cloud remains operational, supporting all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to provide customers with continuous access to innovation. We tackle the most complex challenges, navigating thousands of variables in the supply chain, and seek talented individuals to contribute.

You will join a diverse team of engineers (software, hardware, network), supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other crucial roles. Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with physical security control and surveillance systems.
  • Experience in physical security program management for large, complex installations.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience within the Security Integrator Industry.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BlueBeam, or similar design tools.
  • High ethical standards, with a proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy are paramount.
  • Advanced skills in all Microsoft products, with a special emphasis on Excel.
  • Availability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, results-oriented, high energy, and self-motivated.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with program management spanning planning, execution, and project delivery.
