About the Role

As a Security Engineer III at Amazon Web Services, Inc., you will be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced security operations and incident response automation on AWS, leveraging cutting-edge Generative AI techniques. This role involves integrating machine learning models to proactively predict and mitigate potential security threats, thereby enhancing the overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced security operations and incident response automation on AWS using Generative AI.
  • Integrate machine learning models to predict and mitigate potential security threats proactively.
  • Contribute to internal builder projects by creating scalable and secure consulting frameworks.
  • Develop automation tools, reference architectures, and detailed white papers incorporating Cybersecurity best practices and AI-driven solutions.
  • Implement AI-driven security tools to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
  • Lead hands-on incident response efforts, utilizing automated tools and AI-based analysis for efficient resolution.
  • Ensure swift recovery and mitigation strategies are in place to minimize the impact of security breaches.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, partners, and customers to deploy sophisticated threat detection and incident response systems.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with four years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, or cybersecurity engineering. The employer will accept two years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Candidates must possess four years of experience in:

  • Security engineering and network technologies (PCAP, Netflow).
  • Operating Systems and network security, common attack patterns and exploitation techniques.
  • Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and Assurance methodologies.
  • Security analysis techniques such as threat modeling and attack graphs.
  • Writing run-books, complexity analysis, executing vulnerability scans, and reviewing vulnerability assessment reports.
