GRC Specialist

AWS Security is seeking a GRC Specialist to play a pivotal role in certification, accreditation, assurance, and authorization activities across its security program.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the GRC Specialist for designated cloud components and perform assurance and authorization activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to establish security baselines, controls, and objectives.
• Implement security frameworks including ISM, PSPF, DSPF, ASIO T4, NIST, and others.
• Create, optimize, and support cross-functional groups and projects to enhance security effectiveness.
• Develop thought leadership material on cloud and emerging technologies.
• Deliver work to tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.

Day in the Life

You will exercise sound judgment between business and security goals while navigating challenging situations with composure. Regular self-analysis and performance reviews are part of the role to achieve successful outcomes.

Basic and Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in security assurance, cybersecurity, auditing, or related fields.
• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance programs and government security frameworks (e.g., PSPF, ISM, DSPF, ASD Essential Eight).
• Proficiency with cloud technologies.
• Ability and/or clearance to obtain Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
• Strong communication skills with capability to coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber Security or related field is preferred.
