AWS Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to support the newest and evolved services within the AWS Applied AI Solutions portfolio. This role involves direct business partnership, working closely with senior finance management and key business partners to drive product/service pricing, cost optimization, financial planning, decision support, and controllership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and influence strategic financial decisions to drive long-term growth and profitability, including evaluating pricing strategies and investments in new services and features.
- Own the full P&L for all services, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to assess financial implications of initiatives aimed at accelerating revenue growth, improving profitability, and enhancing free cash flow.
- Influence private pricing structures to enable top-line growth while ensuring strong controllership and margin protection.
- Manage projects with significant business impact, including collaborating with engineering teams to identify and implement infrastructure cost optimizations.
- Lead the OP1/2, 3YF, and R&O planning processes, continuously evolving forecasting approaches to align with changing business needs, and clearly presenting business drivers and narratives to senior leadership.
- Contribute with deep-dive analyses and insights in Weekly, Quarterly, and Monthly Business Reviews.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks.
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience in implementing financial reporting and scalable processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and drive projects to completion.
