About the Delivery Consultant - Security Role at Amazon Web Services (AWS)

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is actively seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant - Security to join their global team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions, ensuring they meet specific technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a pivotal force in guiding customers through their cloud journey, providing deep technical expertise and advocating for best practices throughout the entire project lifecycle.

As a Delivery Consultant - Security, you will leverage a profound understanding of AWS products and services to architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions. Your responsibilities include working with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. You will serve as a trusted advisor, offering insights into industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions. Leading the implementation process, you will ensure adherence to best practices, optimize performance, and meticulously manage risks throughout the project's duration.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of combined experience in areas such as application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, and penetration testing.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies.
  • 1+ years in automating security operations, including scripting and automation for scalable and secure environments, automating security assessments and remediation workflows, and implementing security policies as code.
  • 1+ years in advanced incident response, leading detection and analysis efforts and managing eradication processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and building applications using AWS services like Lambda, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, or Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity and experience with compliance and security standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, Certified Security Specialty).
  • Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions (e.g., WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS, SIEM).
