About Data Center Technician

AWS Infrastructure Services maintains and operates the global network of AWS data centers. This team ensures uninterrupted access to cloud services by managing servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Perform hardware and network diagnostics with physical repair actions.
  • Work in industrial environments with lifting, bending, and moving up to 40 pounds.
  • Operate in cramped, elevated, and challenging environments.
  • Support 24/7 operations including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Engage in an on-call rotation and ensure service level agreements are met.

A Day in the Life

The Data Center Technician takes ownership of technical issues, troubleshoots problems at the root cause, and supports continuous operational improvements. They collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists, ensuring high safety and quality standards while handling proactive issue detection and reporting.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience with Linux operating systems
  • Associate’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent military/professional experience
  • 2+ years experience with server hardware and data center experience preferred
  • Certifications like A+, CND, Network+, or Security+ are advantageous
