Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. AWS provides storage, compute, and other cloud service capabilities with a commitment to air-tight security measures.
Key Job Responsibilities
As a Data Center Security Specialist, you will:
- Drive operational security excellence in multiple facilities.
- Identify and fix physical security gaps and shortcomings.
- Interface with and direct vendors for security construction, repairs, and patrols.
- Extract and analyze security metrics to drive improvements.
- Enhance electronic surveillance and access controls.
- Educate data center occupants on reducing false alarms.
- Write security reports, create presentations, and communicate with management.
About the Team
The Infrastructure Operations team is diverse and collaborative, including experts from software, hardware, networking, and security. You will work with professionals across AWS to maintain high safety and security standards while ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
Must have a background in security.
Preferred Qualifications
- College Degree and/or background in Military, Law Enforcement, TSA, or Correctional services.
- 2+ years of security experience.
- 1+ year of leadership experience.
