Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is searching for a Data Center Security Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. In this role, you will drive operational security excellence in several facilities by identifying security gaps and managing vendor operations and security technology. You will be responsible for writing reports, presentations, and maintaining communications with management.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and fix physical security gaps immediately.
• Interface with vendors for new security construction and regular maintenance.
• Extract metrics and recommend improvements for surveillance and access controls.
• Educate data center occupants on false alarm reduction.
• Write and implement security processes and procedures.
• Create reports and presentations for management review.

Qualifications

Basic: 6+ months experience in security roles, ideally in a data center. Experience with access control systems (Lenel, Milestone) and CCTV systems with digital recording.

Preferred: College degree or background in military, law enforcement, TSA security screening, or correctional facility experience, along with 2+ years security experience and leadership skills.
