Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been the world’s most comprehensive and widely adopted cloud platform for over 11 years. This Contract Specialist role is part of the World Wide Revenue Operations (WWRO) team supporting Sales, Marketing and Support teams at AWS.

Role Summary

The Contract Specialist is responsible for operationalizing the contract creation process for Statements of Work (SOWs) and related contracting structures. You will work closely with AWS Legal and Professional Services, drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring legal compliance, and recommending process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review contracts to meet legal and business requirements
  • Gather approvals, track status, and communicate with key stakeholders
  • Identify and implement operational improvements
  • Communicate daily with cross-functional teams including Sales, Legal, and Operations
  • Recruit, onboard, and train other Contract Specialists
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Act as the subject matter expert on contract creation

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of contracting experience with technology licensing or commercial contracts
  • Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, and Charts)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Salesforce experience
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced organization

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay ranges from $61,200 to $131,000 per year based on geographic market and experience. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of benefits.
