About the 2025 Security Specialist Intern Role
AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for an Operational Security Specialist Intern to join our expanding Data Centre team. As a Data Centre Operational Security Specialist Intern, you will drive operational security excellence in our Data Centres by writing reports, creating presentations, and communicating with management on physical security operations.
Internship Program Details
This internship is a 12-week full-time program (40 hours/week) during Summer 2025 located in our Berlin Data Centres. Interns are expected to report onsite daily, following typical Monday-Friday day schedules.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Interface and direct vendors for security construction and repairs.
- Oversee daily security operations and patrols.
- Extract metrics to observe improvements in security measures.
- Suggest improvements for electronic surveillance and access controls.
- Educate data centre occupants on reducing false alarms.

Qualifications
Basic: Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a related field.
Preferred: Experience with access control and video surveillance software (like LENEL or C-cure), interest in investigating incidents, and report writing skills.
