Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly and seeking Engineering Operations Technician Interns to join our expanding Data Centre team. In this Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Internship, you will provide technical support in maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at 100% availability while delivering first-class customer service within the data centre.

Duties & Responsibilities

You will be part of the Engineering Operations team, handling hands-on troubleshooting and operations of critical equipment ensuring better than 99.999% uptime. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Assisting in root cause analysis of equipment failures.
  • Troubleshooting facility and rack-level events.
  • Taking daily operational readings.
  • Utilizing internal CMMS for workflow management.
  • Interacting with third party vendors and contractors.

Physical Requirements & Work Schedule

The role involves working at heights, using ladders, and handling weights up to 49 pounds (occasionally 50+ pounds with team lifts). Interns must work onsite full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday during day schedules.
